Leadership Alexandria, a program of the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce, is an executive-level learning experience that brings together a network of established leaders living and/or working in the City of Alexandria so that they gain insight into their community and grow from each other.

The 9-month educational program will expose you to various aspects of Alexandria, from public safety and health, housing, and education to economy and government while honing your existing leadership skills. The program opens with a two day retreat in September and convenes one day a month, October - April, closing with an overnight retreat in May. Programs include simulations, panel discussions, site visits, and group interactions directed by subject matter experts in the content areas.

Leaders that reflect the diversity of the Alexandria community, from a cross-section of the public, private, and non-profit communities, make up each year's class. Participants are active in business, education, associations, the arts, religion, government, community-based organizations, ethnic, and minority groups. With such diversity, the program is continually reflecting new perspectives and provides a powerful and engaged alumni network to those who participate.
