Recap: October 25 Multi-Chamber Business
Reception
Last Thursday evening, The Knights of Columbus in Arlington provided
an excellent venue for a joint networking event, shared by the
Alexandria, Arlington and Central Fairfax Chambers of Commerce.
Nearly 120
people attended the event, meeting new people and enjoying the
spread provided by the K of C. Raising the bar for a “light
hors d'oeuvres” event, the host actually displayed a large
ice sculpture of a swan to keep the shrimp cool.
Over 400 attendees were present at the Business Awards Dinner
last Friday, October
26 at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites. Together we
honored Lynn
Hampton as the 2007 Business Leader of the Year, pictured here
with Rick Dorman. Also honored was Flippo Construction Company,
Inc. as the Workforce Champion.
