Charting the Successful Course of Business in Alexandria since 1906

Welcome to the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce, one of the largest chambers in the Greater Washington region, with 850 professional business members and partners employing more than 49,000 people region-wide.

Founded in 1906, we are proud to have provided leadership and support to the business community and the community at large. As we celebrate more than 100 years of service, we look forward to continuing this tradition.

Representing the interests of the business community, the Alexandria Chamber has successfully embraced numerous legislative initiatives that directly impact traffic, transportation, quality of life and the city's economic climate for years to come.

John McManus of Virginia Commerce Bank should be smiling after winning the straightest drive competition at the golf tournament at Belle Haven Country Club.  We almost filled the course with 123 golfers registered to play.  Winners of the First Place trophy were the Virginia Commerce Bank team of Peter Converse, Michael Bolen, Tom Mazze and Scott Burr.  Second and third place went to the American Advertising and Hilltop foursomes.

Our presenting sponsors, Zack and WD Wiygul of  Wiygul Automotive Clinic, did a great job leading the Awards Reception program!  We would also like to recognize the contribution of raffle prize donors and SouthComm Publishing.  Their donations have enabled the Chamber to make a $2,000 donation to the Scholarship Fund of Alexandria.
